Il Comparto mira all'apprezzamento del capitale investendo in società asiatiche (Giappone escluso). Il Comparto investe prevalentemente in società di grandi e medie dimensioni, con possibilità tuttavia di significativi investimenti in società di più piccole dimensioni. Il team di gestione utilizza un'analisi top-down, elaborata dall'HSBC Global Investment Strategy Group, unitamente ad una ricerca bottom-up effettuata dagli analisti e dai gestori del Comparto. I gestori concentrano la propria attenzione sull'allocazione per paese, che rappresenta un importante driver della performance, ottenendo valore incrementale grazie alla selezione dei settori e dei titoli. L'allocazione per paese viene effettuata in base alla valutazione di fattori come i tassi d'interesse, l'inflazione, le valutazioni e le politiche dei governi. Nell'ambito di ciascun paese, la selezione dei titoli e dei settori viene operata sulla base di visite aziendali, analisi di settore e sensibilità ai tassi d'interesse.
