Previously, he was managing director and founding partner of Saranac Capital, LP, where he was the health care sector portfolio manager. Mr. Lovell also worked at Salomon Brothers Asset Management as a director and later managing director of the health care team. He began his career at Bear, Stearns & Co. as an equity research analyst covering biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and life science tool companies. Mr. Lovell received his bachelor of arts degree, with a double major in chemistry and economics, from Bowdoin College and his MBA from Tulane University. He has 24 years of financial industry experience.
