| Biografia | James Cortez is a Senior Portfolio Manager for Schwab Asset Management. He is a member of the team responsible for management of the Schwab Tax-Free Bond Funds and has been a portfolio manager with Schwab Asset Management since 2019. Mr. Cortez joined the firm in 2006 as a director on Schwab Asset Management’s municipal research team, responsible for conducting credit research for municipal fixed income funds and money market funds with a focus on healthcare and higher education credits. Prior to joining Schwab, Mr. Cortez was an associate director in Standard & Poor’s healthcare group. Mr. Cortez earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Illinois. | Biografia | Jason Diefenthaler is a Managing Director and Head of Tax-Exempt Strategies for Schwab Asset Management. In this role, he is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing Schwab Asset Management’s tax-exempt fixed income investment strategies, including separately managed accounts, actively managed mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Mr. Diefenthaler also leads the portfolio management team for the Wasmer SchroederTM Municipal Bond Strategies and is responsible for day-to-day co-management of several tax-free Schwab Funds®. Previously, Mr. Diefenthaler was the director of tax-exempt portfolio management at Wasmer Schroeder & Company, LLC (Schwab Asset Management became the investment adviser for Wasmer Schroeder Strategies in 2020). He oversaw all tax-exempt strategies and management of the Wasmer Schroeder High Yield Municipal Fund, which subsequently reorganized into the Schwab Opportunistic Municipal Bond Fund. Mr. Diefenthaler began his career with Wasmer Schroeder in 2000. He was a credit analyst before becoming a portfolio manager. Mr. Diefenthaler earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from Florida State University. He is a member of the Southern Municipal Finance Society and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. | ||

| Biografia | Kenneth Salinger, CFA, Vice President and Head of Tax-Exempt Strategies, leads the portfolio management team for Schwab’s national and state-specific tax-free bond funds and municipal money market funds. He also has overall responsibility for all aspects of the management of each of the tax-free bond funds. Prior to joining Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc in 2008, Mr. Salinger was a senior portfolio manager at Wells Capital Management, working on a team that managed municipal bond assets. He worked at American Century Investments from 1992 to 2006, where he was a vice president and senior portfolio manager, responsible for daily management of a number of national and state specific municipal bond funds. Mr. Salinger has worked in fixed-income asset management since 1994. | ||

| Biografia | Douglas Fowler is responsible for co‐managing the Firm’s tax exempt strategies. Doug is a member of the Firm’s Portfolio Management, Investment, and Compliance Committees where he works on the development of investment opportunities. With over 17 years of experience in the securities business, Doug relocated from California in 2008 to join Wasmer, Schroeder & Company, Inc. Prior to joining the Firm, Doug held the position of Assistant Treasurer/Portfolio Manager at Bank of the West in San Francisco, California, where he was responsible for managing the Bank’s portfolio of taxable and tax exempt fixed income positions. Prior to that Doug established the Bank’s wholesale deposit and investment group as the Director of Fixed Income Sales/Trading. Mr. Fowler holds a B.S. in Finance from University of the Pacific, and is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts, the Southern Municipal Finance Society, and is a Leadership Collier Foundation Alumni Association member™. Mr. Fowler has served on the Board of Young Life and AMIkids Big Cypress. | ||
